That’s why UM comes equipped with The Gallery in Bloch Hall, a free showcase space for students and working artists alike. Every year, The Gallery displays four professional exhibitions and eight to ten student exhibitions and seeks to display art from a variety of disciplines, styles and periods. Most exhibitions open with a reception and a free lecture by the artist or curator. So if you’re low on inspiration or you just need a break from the academic grind, a walk through The Gallery can both free and ease your mind.
